A Heart Checkup

We must ask ourselves: “why did Jesus come down to earth in person? He had already accomplished everything in God at the foundation of the world. He was the “Lamb Slain at the foundation of the world.” (Revelation 13:8).

When the Father rested on the 7th day, EVERYTHING that God had done, was doing and would do in the future was completed. When Jesus was crucified at the foundation of the world, He said: “it is finished!” The Word of God was completed at that time also.

So why did He come? I certainly don’t have all the answers, I’m not God; but Jesus came to reveal clearly to mankind, what was set at the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:18-25).

Yahweh is the Word of God. John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Yahweh, the Word of God, became flesh and we called Him Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach.

John 1:14 NKJV “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Jesus and the Father are both manifestations/representations of the Word of God. John 10:30 NKJV “I and My Father are one.”

The Holy Spirit, Rauch Ha-kodesh, is also a manifestation/representation of the Word of God. God is the Word and the God is Spirit. Therefore the Holy Spirit is also the Word.

John 4:24 NKJV “God is Spirit…”

Yahweh, Yeshua and Rauch Ha-kodesh are ONE. They are manifestations/representations of the Word of God. They are One God.

1 John 5:7 NKJV “For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.”

Jesus came to reveal clearly what the divine nature of God was. He wanted His people to love Him and worship Him for who He was. God created mankind and He has an eternal love for mankind that was set at the foundation of the world and is unchangeable!

Yahweh Elohim, Yeshua Hamashiach and Rauch Ha-kodesh are in reality LOVE. God is love.

1 John 4:8 NKJV “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

Let’s take a look at an example of how mankind viewed and approach God.

John 4:46-53 NKJV “So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.

This nobleman does not come to Jesus out of his love for Him. He comes to Jesus for what the POWER OF LOVE, Jesus, ‘can do for him’. He simply wants his son healed.

4:48 Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”

Jesus knows the heart of men. People will not believe in God or come to God, unless God does ‘something for them.’

Jesus knows our hearts.

Luke 16:15 NKJV “And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts…”

The Spirit of the Lord brought Simeon, an old man, into the Temple to speak a blessing over baby Jesus.

Luke 2:34-35 NKJV “Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

Wow. One of the reasons that Jesus came down to the earth was to reveal our own hearts to us!

4:49 The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!” Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.”

This nobleman came to Jesus to get healing for his son. He did not come to Jesus out of his love for Him.

Jesus healed this man’s son, that act of love from God; made this man’s whole household believe that Jesus was the Son of God.

Our daily lives SHOULD indicate our love for the Lord; but do they? Do we worship the Lord with our daily lives? It is our reasonable service to the Lord.

Romans 12:1-2 NKJV “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Romans 12:1-2 in the Passion Translation: “Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.”

Let’s look at one woman who came to Jesus just to worship Him. She was awestruck over her great and awesome Salvation. Jesus had cast the devil out of her and delivered her from bondage and had forgiven her of all her sin, including the sin of prostitution.

Luke 7:37-38 TPT “In the neighborhood there was an immoral woman of the streets, known to all to be a prostitute. When she heard that Jesus was at Simeon’s house, she took an exquisite flask made from alabaster, filled it with the most expensive perfume, went right into the home of the Jewish religious leader, and in front of all the guests, she knelt at the feet of Jesus. Broken and weeping, she covered his feet with the tears that fell from her face. She kept crying and drying his feet with her long hair. Over and over she kissed Jesus’ feet. Then, as an act of worship, she opened her flask and anointed his feet with her costly perfume.”

7:44-47 “Then he spoke to Simeon about the woman still weeping at his feet. “Do you see this woman kneeling here? She is doing for me what you didn’t bother to do. When I entered your home as your guest, you didn’t think about offering me water to wash the dust off my feet. Yet she came into your home and washed my feet with her many tears and then dried my feet with her hair. You didn’t even welcome me into your home with the customary kiss of greeting, but from the moment I came in she has not stopped kissing my feet. You didn’t take the time to anoint my head with fragrant oil, but she anointed my head and feet with the finest perfume. She has been forgiven of all her many sins. This is why she has shown me such extravagant love. But those who assume they have very little to be forgiven will love me very little.”

Royal Friends, is Jesus welcome in your home or place of business? What books magazines, videos, cd’s will He find? What words will he hear you speak? How do you treat your family members? What do you do with your money and time? Do YOU worship the Lord with YOUR daily lives? Do you value your great and awesome Salvation and the price that Jesus paid for it?

Check your hearts my friends. What motivates YOU?

If YOU need to repent for any reason; (uproot the seeds of sin that you have sown) DO IT! YOU must turn from your sin, disobedience to the Word of God, and turn back to God, and make the choice to obey His Word; then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus! Forgive everyone who has ever harmed you; forgive yourself for the hurt that you have done to others and to the heart of God.
