Divorce
Many believers who operate in religion want to judge other believers who have had a divorce. They use Scriptures like Mark 10 to justify their thinking.
Mark 10:6 NKJV “But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.”
(NOTICE, Royal Ones, there are only 2 genders: male and female. The democrats in America have invented multiple genders, contrary to God and science. Every cell in the human body is encoded with a person’s birth gender. Cutting something off or adding something on, on the outside of the body WILL NOT CHANGE a person’s birth gender. )
7-12. ’‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” In the house His disciples also asked Him again about the same matter. So He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her. And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”
Is adultery/divorce a sin? Of course. But it is not the unpardonable sin. The Blood of Jesus cleanses us from ALL SIN when one repents and asks for forgiveness in the name of Jesus! (1 John 1:8-9)
Does the Lord dislike, even hate divorce? Yes. BUT IT IS NOT AN UNPARDONABLE SIN.
Malachi 2:16 NKJV “For the Lord God of Israel says That He hates divorce, For it covers one’s garment with violence,” Says the Lord of hosts. “Therefore take heed to your spirit, That you do not deal treacherously.”
So the believers with religious spirits need to STOP judging those who have had a divorce.
The devil frequently uses toxic, verbally and physically abusive people to keep their spouse from pursuing Jesus and stepping into their destiny in God.
Let’s take a look at John Chapter 4. Jesus encounters a Samaritan woman at the well who has had 5 divorces and is now living with a man who is not her husband.
John 4:17-18 MEV “Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”The woman answered, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You are right in saying, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and he whom you now have is not your husband. So you have spoken truthfully.”
Jesus does not confront or condemn this Samaritan woman because she has had a divorce.
Who were the Samaritans?
Israel was divided into 12 tribes. Scholars tell us the Samaritans were descendants from the tribes of Levi, Ephraim and Menesseh. The Samaritans were called Benai Yisrael. This is a term used for all denominations of the Jewish people. But they were not known as Yehudim (Jews); which is the standard Hebrew name for the Jews.
The Hebrew Jews looked down on the Samaritans, especially the women.
The disciples were very surprised when they returned and found Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach, talking to a Samaritan woman.
We often see the disciples, as they walk with Jesus operating in a religious spirit. They judge this woman and look down on her just because she is a Samaritan woman.
What does the Lord say in regards to judging others? Luke 6:37 NKJV “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”
NOTICE: Jesus tells us to forgive, instead of judge.
Most people today judge others with their mouths by gossip, especially on the internet. They cut other believers, even ministers and pastors, down and bad mouth them. This of course is not Biblical and is a sin in the eyes of God. If we have a problem with another believer, we are to go to them in-person, in private and tell them.
The Lord tells us in multiple verses not to touch another believer, an anointed person. We are all at different levels in our maturity in Christ.
Psalm 105:15 NKJV Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.”
(BECAREFUL when you bad-mouth the Lord’s prophets, you will find yourself outside of the blessings of God. 2 Chronicles 20:20 NKJV “So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “…Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” )
Back to John 4. 25-30 MEV. “The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.” Then His disciples came. They marveled that He talked with a woman. Yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why are You talking with her?” The woman then left her water pot, went her way into the city, and said to the men,“Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” They went out of the city and came to Him.”
Jesus did NOT JUDGE OR CONDEMN this woman who had, had 5 divorces and who is presently living in fornication. On the contrary He used her to preach the Gospel!
John 4:39-42 MEV “Many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to remain with them. And He stayed there two days. And many more believed because of His word. They said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this Man is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”
Jesus had this woman with 5 divorces who was living with a man who was not her husband to preach the gospel. She was the catalyst that got an ENTIRE CITY SAVED!
Do you remember what Jesus told the woman that was caught in the Very act of adultery, when she was brought to Him by the “religious leaders”?
John 8:3-4 MEV “The scribes and Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery. When they had put her in the middle, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of adultery.”
10-11 “When Jesus had stood up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”
JESUS FORGAVE HER! He did NOT condemn her!
There are seven sins that the Lord hates. Divorce, fornication, and adultery are not even in the top seven.
Proverbs 6:16 MEV “These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to him:#1 a proud look, #2 a lying tongue, and #3 hands that shed innocent blood, #4 a heart that devises wicked imaginations, #5 feet that are swift in running to mischief, #6 a false witness who speaks lies, and #7 he who sows discord among brethren.”
ALL of these sins, (including adultery/divorce), can be forgiven with repentance and asking for forgiveness in the name of Jesus.
Psalm 118:29 MEV “Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endures forever.”
Lamentation 3:22-23 NKJV “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
What happens when God forgives our sin? HE TOTALLY FORGETS ABOUT IT!
Malachi 7:18-19 NKJV “Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.”
Why are believers condemning a person for a sin that God has forgiven and forgotten? He erases our past.
Friends, it is time that you step into the light of the Living God, stop judging and condemning; instead, operate in forgiveness; just as the Lord has forgiven YOU!
When any person repents of their sins and asks for forgiveness in the name of Jesus, their past is erased; they are a new creation. Just as if you were holding a newborn baby in your arms. They do not have a past that condemns them. Receive forgiveness and move forward with the high calling of God.
If YOU need to repent for any reason; (uproot the seeds of sin that you have sown) DO IT! YOU must turn from your sin, disobedience to the Word of God, and turn back to God, and make the choice to obey His Word; then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus! Forgive everyone who has ever harmed you; forgive yourself for the hurt that you have done to others and to the heart of God.
