Do you think like a grasshopper?

Numbers 13:1 (NKJV) “And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2. “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, everyone a leader among them.”

God said that He was giving the land of Canaan to the Hebrews. Only Caleb and Joshua believed God.

Numbers 13:2 “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I AM GIVING to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, everyone a leader among them.”

God expected the Leaders to believe Him. God is not expecting us to be perfect, but He is expecting a perfect response when He calls!

Continue with: Numbers 13:16 (NKJV) “These are the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun, Joshua. 17. Then Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them, “Go up this way into the South, and go up to the mountains,”

(H3667) Canaan means to: To bend the knee, to humiliate, vanquish:—bring down (low), into subjection,

Numbers 13:18 (NKJV) “and see what the land is like: whether the people who dwell in it are strong or weak, few or many; 19. whether the land they dwell in is good or bad; whether the cities they inhabit are like camps or strongholds; 20. whether the land is rich or poor; and whether there are forests there or not. Be of good courage. And bring some of the fruit of the land.” Now the time was the season of the first ripe grapes. 21. So they went up and spied out the land from the Wilderness of Zin as far as Rehob, near the entrance of Hamath. 22. And they went up through the South and came to Hebron; Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, were there. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)”

Numbers 13:23 (NKJV) Then they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with one cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole. They also brought some of the pomegranates and figs. 24. The place was called the Valley of Eshcol, because of the cluster which the men of Israel cut down there. 25. And they returned from spying out the land after forty days.

Numbers 13:26 (NKJV) Now they departed and came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
27. Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28. Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.” 30. Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

Caleb and Joshua believed their God. They did not go by what they saw in the natural, they went by what God said!

Numbers 13:31 (NKJV) “But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” 32. And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33. There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

The word Grasshopper: locust, (root word means: victim, fear, terror). The people saw themselves as victims and it put fear or terror on them. The giants were huge and they saw themselves as a small insect.

How do you see yourself?

Sight: outer refection of an inner attitude. They determined in their heart, their spirit, what God would do by what they saw with their eyes. Whenever you do this you become a grasshopper, an insect, a victim in your own eyes!

When we face circumstances of life how do we see ourselves? Do we see ourselves as helpless insects or do we see ourselves as having dominion OVER EVERYTHING on this earth?

Genesis 1:26 NKJV Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion OVER the fish of the sea, OVER the birds of the air, and OVER the cattle, OVER all the earth and OVER every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Do we go by what the Lord God says or do we go by what our circumstances say?

When we have financial problems do we see ourselves as having DOMINION or as insects? Do we release what Christ Crucified from the foundation of the world says or do we go by what the world says, creations says?

Do we go by what JESUS says? Do we turn into a grasshopper? Or do we take the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God and go after whatever is coming against us. If I need finances, I COMMAND them to come to me in the Name of Jesus! If I have an enemy that is coming against me I COMMAND them to cease, I bind the devil operating in them and COMMAND him to loose me!

John 14:12 NKJV “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Do you believe in Jesus? If so, why are you not fighting with the Word of God over your circumstances?

Luke 10:19 NKJV “Behold, I give you the AUTHORITY to trample on serpents and scorpions, and OVER all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

2 Corinthians 8:9 (NKJV) “For you know the grace (the ability) of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”

Do you need provision for your family, your church? Do you need finances for your ministry? Or do we act like insects in the face of our giants? Do we act like the ones with DOMINION OVER the situation? Are we waiting for something to manifest in our sight in order to believe God or do we believe and exercise the Word of God?

When we have health problems, do we see ourselves as insects or do we see ourselves as having DOMINION? Do we go by what the God of creation has to say or do we go by what creations says?

1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV) “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

When we are sick or when we pray for others do we see ourselves as insects in the face of a giant or do we see ourselves as having DOMINION?

James 5:14 (NKJV) “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Miracle signs and wonders should follow a believer!

Mark 16:17 (NKJV) “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18. they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they WILL lay hands on the sick, and they WILL recover.”

Are we grasshoppers in the face of cancer? Are we grasshoppers in the face of MS?

When we are faced with a diagnosis of GIANT cell arteritis, are we a giant killer or a grasshopper? Do we go by what the Word of God says: Jesus bore our infirmities And carried our pain in His own body on the tree and by HIS STRIPES we are healed!

How would I attack this Giant cell arteritis devil? Remember God had a 15 year old shepherd boy with a rock, kill Goliath the Giant. What’s or who is our rock as a believer? Jesus the Christ, Yeshua Hamashiach, the rock of our Salvation. He is the Word of God.

Example: Father I ask that you forgive me of all my sins in the name of Jesus. I forgive everyone who has ever harmed me, in Jesus’ name. I bind you, you stupid giant cell arteritis devil in the name of Jesus! Come out of me right now in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. I command every unclean devil and every infirmity devil to come out of me in the Name of Jesus! I command my arteries and my body to be whole and well and pain free without inflammation in The name of Yeshua Hamashiach! I bind the side effects of prednisone, I command that they will not cause my body any problems in Jesus’ name!

Be a giant killer instead of a grasshopper! Take the Rock of your Salvation, Yeshua Hamashiach of Nazareth, the Word of God, and beat your Giants with it!

Are we grasshoppers in the face of a bi-polar devil? In the face of a brain damaged devil? In the face of a Blood pressure devil. Are we grasshoppers in the face of a diabetic devil?

When a tornado/storm/hurricane appears on the radar screen do we see ourselves as helpless insects, victims, fearful, in terror or do we exercise the DOMINION over the weather that the Lord God has given us?

Sisters and Brothers, Let’s Act like we have Christ in Us!!!! Let’s exercise our God given authority!!!

I hope this teaching stirs the Spirit who yearns within your soul.

If YOU need to repent for any reason; (uproot the seeds of sin that you have sown) DO IT! YOU must turn from your sin, disobedience to the Word of God, and turn back to God, and make the choice to obey His Word; then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus! Forgive everyone who has ever harmed you; forgive yourself for the hurt that you have done to others and to the heart of God.
