Friends should draw you closer to holiness and Jesus Christ. If they pull you towards sin more than holiness then you should walk away. Obey Jesus Christ over every person. God warns Christians to not associate with Christians that have sex outside of marriage or are drunkards. See 1 Corinthians 5:9-11 God commands us to stay sober.

Romans 8:12-14 NLT

Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

Study the Holy Bible and fill your heart with God and his wisdom. Guard your heart from the sin promoted by movies and secular music. They promote pride, lust, blasphemy, violence, greed, gluttony, witchcraft, hate, drugs and alcohol. Strive for holiness and glorify God with your thoughts and behavior. 🙏

1 Corinthians 5:9-11 NLT

When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or are greedy, or cheat people, or worship idols. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.
