God Is Faithful

“For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.” (Romans 3:3-4)

On Moses’ 120th birthday, he gave a speech to the multitude of Israel. It was his final speech to them, and in it, he said this about our Almighty God:

“He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He” (Deu 32:4).

God is able! While preaching the gospel of faith to the Romans, Paul explained how Abraham’s faith transcended the constraints of his and Sarah’s old age.

Abraham, “being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform” (Rom 4:21), showed faith in God’s promise of his seed becoming a great nation, and history has proven God’s faithfulness again!

“For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise” (Heb 6:13-15).

It is good to review the historical, mighty works of God. In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, he shared many things designed to strengthen him in the faith.

“This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself” (2 Tim 2:11-13).

“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass” (1 Thes 5:24). Joshua’s final speech to the Israeli nation also reminded them that God ALWAYS keeps His word to His faithful followers.

“Now behold, today I am going the way of all the earth, and you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one word of all the good words which the Lord your God spoke concerning you has failed; all have been fulfilled for you, not one of them has failed” (Joshua 23:14). History proves “God IS Faithful!”

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23). Hallelujah, Amen!
