Pastor, does your Church reflect/represent Jesus?

Why should your church be a representative of Jesus? Your church body is part of the Body of Christ! As part of the Lord’s Body, your church Should Be A reflection of Jesus and the Father. If it isn’t, then ask yourself: why not; what is coming from the pulpit and Bible studies? How does the leadership in the church live they’re lives?

Acts 9:31 “Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.”

I really like the Passion Translation.

Acts 9:31 TPT “After this, the church all over Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced a season of peace. The congregations grew larger and larger, with the believers being empowered and encouraged by the Holy Spirit. They worshiped God in wonder and awe, and walked in the fear of the Lord.”

Do the people in your church worshiped God in wonder and awe? Or do they just go through the motions, pretending to live Godly, but all the while they live worldly and in sin. Remember, sin is simply disobedience to the Word of God.

Do the people of your church walk in the fear of the Lord, obeying His Word?

Each one of us, as an individual or a church body, have been sent just as Jesus was sent. Jesus was sent by the Father.

John 20:21 NKJV “So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

What was Jesus sent to do?

#1 Jesus only spoke what the Father told Him to say.

John 14:10 NKJV “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.”

Many believers go around continuously speaking words that are contrary to the Word of God. They literally speak death. (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”)

Example: two women talking in the church hallway. “Did you hear that Mary was dying of cancer.” They just got in agreement with the devil to kill Mary! (Matthew 18:19-20 NKJV “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”)

What should they say? “The doctor says Mary has cancer and it doesn’t look good. BUT, MY GOD SAYS: “By His Stripes She is HEALED! Therefore we call Mary whole and well and pain free in the name of Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach. We command every cancer devil, every unclean devil and every infirmity devil to come out of her in Jesus Christ’s mighty name!

#2 Jesus only did, what the Father showed Him to do.

John 5:19 NKJV “Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”

Friends, are you doing what the Father, the Word of God, shows you to do?

What did the Father show Jesus to do? If this was how Jesus was sent and He sent us just as He was sent; then what should the church body be doing?

John 5:20-23 NKJV “For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”

John 14:12 NKJV “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

My goodness friends, isn’t it about time that the church body, the Body of Christ, got busy doing what it was established and sent to do?

Mark 16:17-19 TPT “And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.”

What did Jesus do?

Acts 10:38 NKJV “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

Pastor, are you teaching and preaching on the infilling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in another tongue so your people can have the POWER OF the HOLY SPIRIT to do the works of the ministry?

Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts 2:4 NKJV “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Pastor, church leader, you need to check what you are doing. Get busy DOING THE LORD’S WORK! Get your church body busy doing the works of Jesus!

If YOU need to repent for any reason; (uproot the seeds of sin that you have sown) DO IT! YOU must turn from your sin, disobedience to the Word of God, and turn back to God, and make the choice to obey His Word; then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus! Forgive everyone who has ever harmed you; forgive yourself for the hurt that you have done to others and to the heart of God.
