Righteousness of God 2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Righteousness of God

2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

When we were born-again: we repented of all our sin (turned away from sin and turned to God) and we asked the Father to forgive us of our sin in the name of Jesus; then we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Many people who claim to be born-again, just want a Savior but they do not want a Lord. Unfortunately, if Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach of Nazareth, is not your Lord then He mostlikely is not your Savior. Now, if Jesus is not your Lord then you are not the righteousness of God.

There is a false grace being taught in the Body of Christ. That once you say the ‘sinner’s prayer’ then you are the righteousness of God and you have no further obligation towards the Lord. This is the “once saved always saved” false doctrine.

Jesus is your Lord and Savior. If He is your Lord, then He is Lord of your thoughts, your behavior, your attitudes, your actions, your mannerisms; He is Lord over how you treat family members and others, what you do with your time and finances.

If you were truly born-again then you were made the righteousness of God. But that is just the beginning; you are to work out your Salvation with fear and trembling.

(Philippians 2:12 NKJV “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”)

Now we are all likely to get in to sin, disobedience to the Word of God, from time to time. That is exactly why Jesus shed His Blood on the cross. We can repent of that sin, ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus and keep moving forward with God. We cannot allow our past failures to hold us back.

The Apostle Paul understood this clearly after 65 years of ministry.

Philippians 3:13 NKJV “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.”

Paul had been involved in the killing of Christians. He had to forget his past and not allow it to keep him from his future; his destiny in God. He ended up writing 2/3 of the New Testament.

All of the Apostle John’s books were written to Christians. He instructs Christian to repent of they’re sin. The Blood of Jesus is always available for us to appropriate.

1 John 1:8-10 NKJV “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”

When Jesus defeated satan on the cross, He broke the power that sin had on mankind. He didn’t do away with sin. All one has to do is look at the evening news and you will find that sin is alive and well. Jesus empowered believers to say no to temptation, no to sin.

Paul tells you to present your members as instruments of righteousness to God! In other words, you are obligated to obey the Word of God and keep sin, disobedience to the Word of God, Out of your life!

Romans 6:13 NKJV “And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”

Jesus set you free from the authority that sin had over you. Now YOU, have authority over sin; and YOU ARE TO SAY NO TO SIN.

Romans 6:18 NKJV “And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.”

God the Father, Yahweh, is righteous and He is the Word of God. You must maintain the righteousness that Jesus gave you when you were born-again by obeying the Word of God.

You are to become a slave to righteousness, you are to obey the Word of God!

Romans 6:22 NKJV “But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.”

Notice Royal Friends, everlasting life in God is achieved when YOU have your fruit to HOLINESS! If you are a slave to God, you will be obeying the Word of God.

The word ‘holiness’ means to be set apart for God. You separate yourself from worldly, ungodly, living and you join yourself to God.

We are to be obedient children; we are to obey the Word of God.

1 Peter 1:13-16 NKJV “Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as OBEDIENT children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, β€œBe holy, for I am holy.”

The grace that is brought to us is God’s ability and Power that works in us to enable us to obey the Word of God.

As we walk out our Salvation, we are to awake to righteousness; be more conscious of our righteousness in God.

1 Corinthians 15:34 NKJV “Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.”

We maintain our righteousness by making the personal choice to love God and obey His commandments, His Word.

1 John 2:3-5 NKJV “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, β€œI know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.”

Therefore I implore you Royal Ones, continue to work out your own Salvation. Purpose to obey the Word of God. Repent and ask for forgiveness when you fail. Accept your forgiveness by faith and keep moving forward in God.

If YOU need to repent for any reason; (uproot the seeds of sin that you have sown) DO IT! YOU must turn from your sin, disobedience to the Word of God, and turn back to God, and make the choice to obey His Word; then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus! Forgive everyone who has ever harmed you; forgive yourself for the hurt that you have done to others and to the heart of God.
