Robes of many Colors
The real you is a spirit. We are a 3-part being just like the Lord; of course, we were created in His image. We are spirit, soul: mind, emotions and will, and we reside in a flesh body.
The real us, our spirit, lives forever. The question is where, heaven or hell? Our spirit and soul are intricately meshed. When we shed this earth body, our spirit-soul moves on to life in another realm.
As a born-again believer we will instantly be in the presence of the Lord when our flesh breathes its last breath.
2 Corinthians 5:8 NKJV “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
Heaven looks forward to our homecoming.
Psalm 116:15 NKJV “Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.”
While on this earth, we are members of the Lord’s Body, the Body of Christ.
All people on this earth are genetically connected by the same blood. The blood from every race can be administered to any other race as long as the blood type is the same.
God has placed each of us in the nation of our birth for His purpose.
Acts 17:26 NKJV “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.”
You literally exist at this present time for the purpose of God. Esther 4:14 NKJV “… Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Romans 12:3-5 NKJV “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
All born again believers are part of the Body of Christ. We have different callings and gifts that the Father in Heaven has placed in each of us from the beginning of time. We must step out in faith and walk out what He has placed in us.
Ephesians 2:10 NKJV “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Just as it would be ridiculous for our nose to judge or bad-mouth our ear; it makes NO SENSE for a member of the Body of Christ to bad-mouth or judge another believer. We are all at different levels of maturity in Christ. We all must operate in our individual gifts and callings at the level of our present maturity in Christ.
(We are ALL co-workers in Christ.)
Romans12:6-8. “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.”
What is the outward appearance of the Body of Christ.
Psalm 45:11-15 NKJV “So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him. 12. And the daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; The rich among the people will seek your favor. 13. The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; Her clothing is woven with gold. 14. She shall be brought to the King in ROBES OF MANY COLORS; The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to You. 15. With gladness and rejoicing they shall be brought; They shall enter the King’s palace.”
Notice, the daughter of Tyre will be brought to the King with robes (plural) of many colors. The outward appearance of the Body of Christ is “many colors”. People from all nations and of ALL SKIN COLORS.
The color of skin is caused by a chemical called melanin that resides in our skin. When melanin reacts with the sun it darkens the skin color. The closer to the equator, the darker the skin. Our present skin color comes from our ancestors relationship to the equator.
The word Tyre comes from the Hebrew root word ‘tasphah’ and it means: to lean forward; to peer into the distance; to observe; await; behold as in looking up; wait for; keep watch.
The Body of Christ is from all nations, all skin colors. They are a people who look up; who keep a watchful eye on the future. The Body of Christ keeps a lookout for God’s direction and understands that they have the victory because when we arrive at any time in the future, whether it is one second, one minute, 5 years or 20 years, God is already there making the way.
Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
The Body of Christ purposely operates in holiness. 1 Peter 1:15-16 NKJV “but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
To be holy, means to be set apart. Set apart from the world and set apart unto God.
Jesus is coming back for bride that is holy, not having spot or wrinkle and without blemish.
Ephesians 5:27 NKJV “that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”
The Lord’s return is on the horizon. Be watchful, be ready, be holy. Be a servant that will be found by the Lord, operating in their gifts and callings.
Friend, this teaching is a mirror. Look into it and see yourself. If you are not lining up with the Word of God in any area; take care of business.
If YOU need to repent for any reason; (uproot the seeds of sin that you have sown) DO IT! YOU must turn from your sin, disobedience to the Word of God, and turn back to God, and make the choice to obey His Word; then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus! Forgive everyone who has ever harmed you; forgive yourself for the hurt that you have done to others and to the heart of God.
Be a MEMBER of the Body of Christ. Make yourself available for God’s plan and purpose.
