*SINFUL THOUGHTS ARE VERY SERIOUS..!*
*MORNING MANNA*
*SATURDAY, 20 AUG 2022*
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5
“Many well-meaning Christians seem to think that sinful thoughts are not serious sins. They assume that it is alright to have sinful thoughts as long as they do not physically commit any sins.
Look at the way Jesus spoke about it: “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness Mark 7:21,22. Here the Lord put evil thoughts first in the list – even before adulteries and murders.
One main reason why we let evil thoughts defile our mind is that we do not see them as VERY SERIOUS SINS.
True, God, in His mercy, delays His punishments and judgements, but if we know the great judgment of God for sinful thoughts, we would tremble. The first judgement of God (flood) came upon the earth because “every imagination of the THOUGHTS of his during that period there was no church, no Bible, and no Bible teachers or pastors. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit was not given to them, and Jesus had not died on the cross. Yet, EVIL THOUGHTS were judged very severely. We who live in the Grace Period must work out salvation with fear and trembling because God’s judgement will be far greater in this dispensation than in the previous ones.
So child of God, ask the Holy Spirit to help you right away. Ask Him to help you cast down imaginations and bring every thought into captivity.
Matthew 5:19-30 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment.
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee. Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery. But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. Amen
Let us pray: Heavenly Father we praise you and give all glory to you Lord. Thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to save us from hell punishment. Thank you Jesus Christ for taking my sin punishment on the cross and sheded your Holy blood to make me worthy to enter your kingdom of heaven. I ask forgiveness for all the sin I have done in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you Holy Spirit, help us come out from sinful thoughts. In Jesus precious name I pray. Amen
