TENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME, YEAR II: WEDNESDAY
“Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law of Moses and the Teachings of the prophets. I have not come to do away with them, but to make their teachings come true. (Here we need to reflect and ponder deeply on the Words of God in Jeremiah 31:33 & repeated in Hebrew 10:16, which stated, “This is the Covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declare the Lord. “I will put My Law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.” So here we want to know how these could work in our daily lives on earth. How we could be God’s people, not only people but children of God. Let us quote from St Paul’s letter to the Roman 8:9-14, ‘You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives Life because of Righteousness. And the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give Life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”
John 14:26 Jesus Christ stated, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
John 6:45 Jesus said, “It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father (Yahweh) and learned from Him comes to Me.”
Hebrew 8:11 stated, ‘None of them will have to teach his fellow citizen or tell his fellow countryman, ‘Know the Lord.’ For they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest.’
These revealed to us that in days to come which had came to past since the First Pentecost of which the Holy Spirit will continues to fall in His Generous Outpouring on all those whom God had called, chosen and set apart as these will respond to the call of God and we could be like the Twelve Disciples who instantly leave everything behind and follow Jesus Christ, but since the First Pentecost onward, the Holy Spirit comes to us in various ways and the most important way is through us consuming His Body and drink His Blood, whereby we receive the Entirety of Christ into each of our bodies, but these graces of God will flow into each of us personally depending on how wide we open our hearts and trust in the Lord. He will gives us the Blessed Trinity through His Glorious Humanity by us who partake in the ‘Last Supper’ in the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist, so we need to respond and God does not force on us to receive His Divinity and Glorious Humanity unless we invite and accepted the offer of God who draws us into Covenant with each of us. Although the whole Church founded on St Peter and the Apostles is given the Holy Spirit as Life of the Church because without the Holy Spirit the Church or the Community of believers of the New and Everlasting Covenant will not have life of God within their bodies personally. Because all of us in this Community of Believers of Christ need to be baptized by Water and the Holy Spirit and be inflamed with the Love of God personally and henceforth able through God’s Grace to respond to God’s Love, therefore we could Love God with the same measures of His Love, if we allow our bodies to be anointed and consecrated into temples of the Holy Spirit. These are saints-to-be on earth and these are Light of the world and they are salt of the earth, because of the Presence of Christ’s Spirit within their bodies personally. So it is not good enough to know that the Twelve Disciples and other Disciples of Christ received the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit is not limited to the Disciples and Apostles of the past, but the Holy Spirit is just as Powerful and Alive as when He was first poured on the Disciples. Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:3, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again.” So personally we need to experience being born again, not merely ritually baptized in water as sign that we repented of our sins, but that simultaneously we received the Holy Spirit, not in its minimum measure, but the full measure of the Holy Spirit which is possible if we believe that it is possible for Christ to take flesh in our bodies, progressing toward fuller and fullness of Sanctification when we died and reached Heaven. Do we believe that when we eat the Body of Christ and drink His Blood, Christ’s Spirit takes flesh in our bodies personally as we receive the Holy Eucharist personally? If we believe then we could as stated by Jesus Christ as written in Matthew 17:20, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” So here we know that it is not necessary to move Physical Mountain, but we need to move Spiritual Mountain of pride, arrogant, selfishness and self-righteousness, whereby Words of God could not penetrate our iron-willed, because we do not want to worship God or any other gods but ourselves. So each of us to be saints, we need to be like ‘little children’ in the presence of God. We need to allow ourselves to be vulnerable and submissive to God. When we had iron-wills, we are pleasing to Satan, because all that Satan wants is to see us detach from God and not to be like ‘little children’ to God, but to be ‘little children’ to Satan so that he can do as he please with us as we do not belong to him, but we are created in God’s Image and Likeness but we rejected God, so we are stuck and stunted in our spiritual growth and cannot bear fruits, because we are not connected to God through Christ, therefore we will end up in spiritually dead, so this is what Satan wanted, because when we are without the Life of God, we are living for ourselves so we are therefore vulnerable and susceptible to even light or little attacks, we would surrender to Satan even though he had yet to use his full forces and powers, so we must live in Righteousness and Truth, so to know who we are before God and before Satan. We are food to be eaten, abused and manipulated by Satan if we do not have the Spirit of Christ within our bodies.)
“Remember that as long as heaven and earth last, not the least nor the smallest detail of the Law will be done away with—not until the end of all things. (So here we need to know that as long as we are still in this world in our human flesh or bodies, these Laws of God and His Teachings applied to each of us. 1 Corinthians 13:9-14:1 revealed, ‘Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless. When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. Three things will last forever—faith, hope and love—and the greatest of these is love. Let love be your highest Goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives—especially the ability to prophesy.’)
“So then, whoever disobeys even the least important of the commandments and teaches others to do the same will be least in the Kingdom of Heaven. On the other hand, whoever obeys the Law and teaches others to do the same, will be great in the Kingdom of Heaven. (So here we would think that those who are teachers of the Laws and Faiths will be those who are great in the Kingdom of Heaven, but these do not apply to every teachers of the Laws and Faiths, because the dispositions of the hearts of the teachers of the Laws and Faiths are very important and indeed the most important of which they need to put the Laws and Faiths into their hearts and lives, allowing the Spirit of Christ to transform them to be living models of those who obeyed the Laws and Teachings of the Prophets and Jesus Christ. If they taught what is right but they acted otherwise; these will revealed that they too will be called by Christ as ‘hypocrites’ like the Teachers of the Laws, Scribes and Pharisees.
Colossians 2:3 stated, ‘He (Christ) is the key that opens all the hidden treasures of God’s Wisdom and Knowledge.’ In Ephesians 3:16-18, St Paul stated, ‘I ask God from the wealth of His Glory to give you power through His Spirit to be strong in your inner selves, and I pray that Christ will make His home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love, so that you, together with all God’s people, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ’s Love.’
Therefore from what were revealed we could understand that the Laws and the Teachings of the Prophets which came out through God “Yahweh” who was the same God who gave the Prophets His Teachings and Moses the Laws of God to the Israelites is the same God who is now in the Glorious Son of Man seated at the Right-Hand side of “Yahweh” God and we must not think that this is merely about the seat on the Right-Hand side of God, our Father, but this Seat is more about the Person and the Role He takes up for the Blessed Trinity who is the same God that the Israelites worshiped in trembling fear, but through Jesus Christ, we received the Holy Spirit and by this the Blessed Trinity is united with humanity who are drawn to God through Christ, so these are saints-to-be on earth, Purgatory and saints in Heaven. Those who are drawn to God through the New Covenant of God in the Body and Blood of Christ with the Spirit of Christ are united with the saints of the Old Covenant because the ‘Veil’ by these Laws were removed by Christ Jesus alone, so those who were saints of the Old Covenant enters Heaven through the New Covenant in the Body and Blood of Christ. All saints enter Heaven through the Door of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, so the saints of the Old Testament will be in love with Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God and His Blood Redeemed all humanity from the Jews to all people of nations on earth, as long as we are human beings we are invited and welcome to enter Heaven through the Door of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ and there is no other door into the Kingdom of Heaven, even Abraham, Isaac and Jacob together with their offspring enter through the same Door of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. Are we in love with Jesus Christ? Those who are in love with Jesus Christ are in love with the Blessed Trinity. Those who are in Love with the Blessed Trinity are in love with all children or saints in Heaven who gather together to worship “Yahweh” God inside the New Temple of Jerusalem in the Body of Christ, so between the Old Testament and Covenant and the New Testament and Covenant; the Old is fulfilled in the New and the New is sourced from the Old.
In Matthew 9:17 Jesus stated, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.”
