THE STORY OF MISSING PEOPLE
There is a wilderness that is full of evils, sorrows, pain and misfortune. Death is common among the people that are lost in the wilderness. No one knows the way home, so everybody continue to struggle in vain to get home. They labour and struggle, using all their intellects to find the way home. Then a man call the Word comes with the message called Gospel, saying to the people, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Many people ask Him, “How do we get home?”
The Word says, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the gate that leads to life and only a few find it.” (Math. 7:13-14)
“How can we enter the narrow gate?” they ask.
The Word says, “repent and be baptized, everyone of you for the forgiveness of your sins.” (Acts 2:38) Many people do as The Word says and follow Him.
The Word says to the people that refuse to follow Him, “and if any man hears My word, and believes not, I judge him not: For I came not to judge but to save everybody. He that rejected me, and receive not My words, that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” (John 12:47 – 48)
As the people begin the journey home, Gospel says, “This I say then, walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16).
Soon the Pilgrims begin to find the way home very difficult to take. Gospel says, “now, no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: Nevertheless, afterward it yiedeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.” (Hebrew 12:11) Those who walk in the flesh die on the way just like those who are still in the wilderness. (Romans 8:6)
There are certain pilgrims called Hypocrites. They create the impression that they are following The Word but they are not. They soon miss the way home and meet their deaths.
At last, after so much pain: rigour, sorrow and persecutions, The Pilgrims get home and inherit the mansions the Father prepare for them.
This is the story of the missing people which include you and me. Before you can find your way home, you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. I pray that everyone will find Jesus and reach home safely in Jesus’ name.
