THIRTY-FIRST WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME, YEAR II: MONDAY
Philippians 2:1
‘Your life in Christ makes you strong His Love comforts you.’ (Here, we need to know that when we are in the Body of Christ, as the Family of God on earth, as brothers and sisters, which is greater and higher than mere mortal and biological linkages. We know that within our biological family members, there could be two fractions of which not all of us would go to the same destinations after we died. If we are close and united with God through His Spirit in Communion with us and we with Him, then our death would bring us higher and progress toward seeing God face-to-Face in His Holy Sanctuary in Heaven. While those in the biological families, are against God and fighting for Satan and are his accomplices, then we could see the eternal divisions within our biological family members. But if we are brothers and sisters through Christ within our hearts, souls and human spirits; these are eternal linkages, right now in this world and after we died. If spouses are soulmates with Christ’s Spirit within them, then their relationships with each other will perpetuate and eternally here on earth, then in Heaven.
When we think of being members of God’s Family on earth, we are assimilated into the spiritual economy of salvation, and this is our Father’s Business to save all human beings through Jesus Christ and all members of God’s Family are to be personally, and actively involve in this Business of our Father, so Christ’s Spirit taking flesh in our bodies, will give us comfort and Joy, because all of us are participating and sharing in the Business of our Father and we are all called to spread God’s Love that could be found in His written Words of God in the scriptures and finally the Gospels. The Ten Commandments of God should be refined in the Holy Beatitudes of which what are impossible is made possible by God through Christ residing in our hearts.)
‘You have fellowship with the Spirit, and you have kindness and compassion for one another.’ (Here, we know that when we are in Communion with God through Christ in the Holy Spirit, what are within the Person and Body of Christ will be share and with all human beings who have within them the Stamp of God’s Ownership on us, that is the Holy Spirit. This give us comfort and assurance that we will after we died, be totally assimilated into the Blessed Trinity.)
Verse 2 stated, ‘I urge you, then, to make me completely happy by having the same thoughts, sharing the same Love, and being one in soul and mind.’ (Here, this is possible for all Christians under the influence, power and control of the Holy Spirit, whereby all our wills, decisions and minds will be directed by God, through Christ and as leaders of Christian communities, they surely hope that there will not be divisions and infiltrations of Satan evil spirits into the hearts, minds and souls of those amongst members of their communities whom they lead, whether as ordained ministers or lay leaders.)
Verse 3 stated, ‘Don’t do anything from selfish ambition or from a cheap desire to boast, but be humble toward one another, always considering others better than yourselves.’ (This advice would be fiercely debated against by the children of this world who are in the communities of Christians, because we always want to be better, higher, greater, more pretty, successful, powerful, and so forth as we know that in all competitions in this world, we all have to be motivated by self-determinations, self-empowerments, basic moral and spiritual foundations, whereby we allow both God’s Spirit and Satan’s Spirit in the spirits that rules, lords and controls the hearts and minds of human beings. We put God second or last to ourselves, while the forefront of all challenges, competitions and wars or battles, are not God or His Spirit, but me and mine, so we give glories, honors and self-esteems and acknowledges and applause ourselves for all successes, achievements and attainments. But St Paul reveal the most difficult challenges to our humility so to be like Christ, is that we ought to see others, as better to ourselves. St Paul whom the Pharisees, scribes and the elites of the Jews would be proud of, denied all accesses to puff himself up with what he had achieve within himself as an elite of the Jews. But all these were put to dead and he came alive with the Spirit of Christ in his whole being, which allowed and transformed him to see others as better than himself.)
Psalms 131:1
‘Lord, I have given up my pride and turned away from my arrogance.’ (Here, we need to know that if this pride comes from our sinful hearts, souls and minds, then this pride is about the presence of Satan’s evil spirits within our sinful hearts. So, Satan wanted us to be like him, and rebelled against God and he creates animosities within us against God and pride that comes from Satan within our sinful hearts, natures and spirits are enemy within our bodies. We trusted in stranger who wanted to destroy and harms us and infiltrate through us in communion with him, in order to destroy our fellow human beings, communities and families. This is the yeast of Satan which we could see were in the Pharisees who were against God in Jesus Christ, so this yeast will rise the dough, into colonies of Satan and his kingdom within our hearts, communities and families. Therefore, with this yeast of Satan within our hearts, we would be rebellious and unteachable by God in His Words and Laws.)
‘I am not concerned with great matters or with subjects too difficult for me.’ (Here, this could be seen in those who had gone through spiritual, medical and physical crises or in those who suffered from terminal sickness and are prepare to depart from this world. This too are with those who are in their old age and gracefully with gratitude to God, accept that their lives would soon be over, so they will be prepared spiritually to leave this world and encounter God. Whereby we could see the reason to live in this world from the perspective of God, Jesus Christ and His saints in Heaven. All glories, honors and successes we gain from our personal endeavors and whatever are from this world are secondary whereby only what is immortal is primary, so God and us through Christ, laboring in God’s Vineyard through His Spirit within us is paramount and fundamental.)
Verse 2 stated, ‘Instead, I am content and at peace. As a child lies quietly in its mother’s arms, so my heart is quiet within me.’ (So, here we could see that we will not rest until we rest in the embrace or Arms of God as mother with her infant child, so too we all need to be silenced, quieted down and be at peace with God, Jesus Christ and our fellow human beings who are our brothers and sisters in our souls and human spirits. We are not to direct, condemn or teach one another how to live a good Christian and Godly Life of Christ, but we need to allow the Holy Spirit to spring out from us to give peace, hope and consolations to our fellow human beings, as only God alone is the Rightful Teacher, Director and Judge for all human beings.)
Verse 3 stated, ‘Israel, trust in the Lord now and forever!’ (Let us replace Old Israel with the New Israel in the Christian communities on earth. Let us trust in God through Jesus Christ, as our Lord, Savior and Redeemer Trust in His Father, even though this proceed to His Death as the Lamb of God, yet He knows that this is what He must do and fulfill, so we should also trust in God as Christ Trust in His Father. We know the Prize of Trusting in God His Father brought Victory to the whole human race, while God gives Him, His Seat on the Right-Hand side of His Father, with His Name as “Yahweh” God-in-Flesh, so all who see Jesus Christ, see God in the God of Israel. So, we too when we trust in God, we too would be raised to be with Christ, sharing His missions and ministries on earth, so too we will share in His Glory and Triumph, so our names will be within the Name of Jesus Christ, so all those who bear Christ’s Name will be anointed with the same Power, Glory and Authority of Christ. If we only trust and exercise the gifts, powers and authorities of Christ for His apostles, leaders and disciples.)
Luke 14:12-14
‘Then Jesus said to His host, “When you give a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your rich neighbors—for they will invite you back, and in this way you will be paid for what you did.’ (Here, these are what we, whether as Christians or our fellow human beings are doing. When we wanted to invite guests to the wedding of our children, we would look for even the people’s representatives in the Government and these will be sharing the tables with the families of the host or bride and bridegroom. Their names will be assured of being mentioned, repeatedly and highlighted all the times, as these would be of mutual worldly benefits to both parties. When we invite the rich people, we are assured of greater and higher return in term of worldly things. We want to benefits from their positions of power, influence and authority.
But spiritually these do not have any benefit for our human spiritual or immortal bodies within our physical bodies. We invested and reap as much or more from what we give away, so these transactions became like our investments as debits, but we had reaped our credits from what are of and from this world, so none is left to be paid by God. It is only when we invested or debited in the account of God, but we desired nothing of this world as credits, but only what are, of and from God alone.)
Verse 13 stated, “When you give a feast, invite, the crippled, the lame, and the blind.” (So, here let us remember that God invites us all who are spiritually crippled—when we could not move according to the will of the Holy Spirit. Jesus invites us to His Feast of the Kingdom of Heaven, where all those who are bounded by Satan would be set free and healed of their spiritual afflictions. The spiritually lame, deformed, disabled and dispirited, would come to life with the Spirit of Christ within their bodies, so God through Christ invites these groups of people into His Heavenly Banquet. The Spiritually blind are those who, although have good physical eyes and are educated, wise, smart, clever and astute, but they could not use what they acquired to gain Wisdom from God for their souls.)
Verse 14 stated, “And you will be blessed, because they are not able to pay you back. God will repay you on the Day the good people rise from death.” (This is primarily pointing toward God through Christ within our hearts, souls and minds, so that what we give away, which comes or proceeds from God and we are His servants, handmaids and disciples; God will reward us, as we bring them back to the fold, where in God, all human beings will progress toward wholeness, as God created and meant us to be so and all saints are spiritually whole, ready to embrace their physically restored and made whole by God’s resurrected bodies. If He does not pay us in this earthly life, He will preserve these for our lives with Him in Heaven, where excesses of graces and blessings will flow to all those in Purgatory and on earth who are struggling against the forces of darkness.)
