Turn your heart back to God
Many people in the Body of Christ are pointing their fingers at various things like crime, drugs, coruption, all the murders and gang related activities, the immorality of our nation, and other countries in the world, etc. But God isn’t all that worried about what unbelievers are doing as He is about those who say they belong to Him. We need to take a look at Ezekiel Chapter 9 to get some insight. The passage is long, and I am sorry for that, but it brings the reality home.
Ezekiel 9 Then He called out in my hearing with a loud voice, saying, “Let those who have charge over the city draw near, each with a deadly weapon in his hand.” 2 And suddenly six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his battle-ax in his hand. One man among them was clothed with linen and had a writer’s inkhorn at his side. They went in and stood beside the bronze altar.
3 Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn at his side; 4 and the LORD said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”
5 To the others He said in my hearing, “Go after him through the city and kill; do not let your eye spare, nor have any pity. 6 Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple. 7 Then He said to them, “Defile the temple, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” And they went out and killed in the city.
8 So it was, that while they were killing them, I was left alone; and I fell on my face and cried out, and said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Will You destroy all the remnant of Israel in pouring out Your fury on Jerusalem?”
9 Then He said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of bloodshed, and the city full of perversity; for they say, ‘The LORD has forsaken the land, and the LORD does not see!’ 10 And as for Me also, My eye will neither spare, nor will I have pity, but I will recompense their deeds on their own head.”
11 Just then, the man clothed with linen, who had the inkhorn at his side, reported back and said, “I have done as You commanded me.”
God brings judgment on His own people first who are in sin. Notice verse 6 above “begin at My sanctuary.” “So they began with the elders who were before the temple. 7 Then He said to them, “Defile the temple, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!”
God had the angel kill everyone that had anything to do with the Sanctuary first that did not have the mark that showed that they cared about the things of God.
Are you a Christian that supports abortion, the murder of babies created in the image of God? Do you belong to a political party that promotes homosexuality and same sex marriage; men can be women and women can be men? Then when the Lord brings judgment on this earth, it will come to your house first.
Ladies and gentlemen who call yourselves Christians. God is looking at you for you to clean up your act. It is time for the church to humble itself, and turn back to God!! We need a revival in America and every other country on this earth.
2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
God’s people must humble themselves; God’s people must pray and seek; God’s people must turn from their wicked ways, then He will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land
If you need to repent for any reason; (uproot the seeds of sin that you have sown) DO IT! You must turn from your sin, disobedience to the Word of God, and turn back to God, and make the choice to obey His Word; then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus! Forgive everyone who has ever harmed you; forgive yourself for the hurt that you have done to others and to the heart of God.
