Your GOD Given Authority

This teaching is long and I apologize for it but it is a word that has to get out now. I talk to pastors from all over the world every day (sometimes 50 to 100 pastors) and they do not know how to pray, exercise authority, tap into the power of God and then believe God for an answer.

Genesis 1:26 NKJV “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Man was given authority “over all the earth.” Believers have still not got this through their God Limiting pea brains. All the earth, means, all the earth. All the gold, diamonds, minerals etc. are in the earth. If I am in need of finances and I am obeying God then I can command finances to come to me. Remember, authority over ALL the earth!

I preached in a church where gold covered me and the chairs and people in the congregation. God is not limited. We limit God in our thinking and lack of faith. I was told about a church in Panama that needed money to build/repair the church and for the needs of the people. They prayed in unity and commanded the finances to come. Diamonds fell out of the air and on to the floor and they gathered them up and paid for everything they needed and the needs of the people.

Genesis 1:28 NKJV “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

What does the word Dominion mean?
Dominion: sovereignty, control, supremacy, ascendancy, dominance, domination, superiority, predominance, preeminence, hegemony, authority, master, control, command, power, sway
rule, government, jurisdiction.

Wow!! God gave man complete sovereignty, supremacy, dominance, preeminence etc. etc. over all the earth. Let me ask you Christian, what does this leave out?

After the flood, God reaffirmed His covenant with Noah.

Genesis 9 NKJV “So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.”

Notice, God gave dominion to Noah and his descendants over everything that moved on the earth.

Genesis 9:8 NKJV “Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying: 9 “And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your descendants after you.”

God re-establishes His covenant with Noah after the flood. Remember; the covenant was from the shed blood of Jesus at the foundation of the world

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Man has authority over everything that moves and lives on the earth. This is every virus, bacteria, every sickness and every disease. The problem is, believers will not exercise their authority. Authority is useless unless you use it.

In the very beginning, with the first man placed on the earth, God gave man complete dominion or authority over all the earth.

Why could God give such authority and dominion to the first man and woman on the earth?

Jesus was the Lame slain at the foundation of the world.

Revelation 13:8 NKJV “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

Jesus was crucified at the foundation of the world. This allowed the Father in Heaven to give His authority to any man who would obey Him. It has not changed today. The cross of Christ was revealed to us a little over 2000 years ago but the authority has not changed.

All authority was given to Jesus at the foundation of the world when He was crucified. That is why when He came to earth in person He could cast out devils, He had already bound the strong man and could take anything from his house!

Matthew 28:18 NKJV And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

All the authority was given to Jesus since He was crucified at the foundation of the world. In Luke 10:19 Jesus again reaffirms God’s covenant towards man.

A born again believer steps back into the blood covenant with God by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Luke 10:19 NKJV “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Jesus gave us His authority! We have the authority over all the power of the devil!!! The problem is that we limit God with our lack of faith

Psalms 78:40-41 NKJV 40 “How often they provoked Him in the wilderness,
And grieved Him in the desert!
41 Yes, again and again they tempted God,
And limited the Holy One of Israel.
42 They did not remember His power:
The day when He redeemed them from the enemy,”

Notice the Hebrews limited the Holy One of Israel. They limited the power that God gave them from the cross of Christ at the foundation of the world. Jesus is the Holy One of Israel.

It is time for the church to stop limiting God, limiting Jesus and the power of His cross. All creation came through the power of the Cross of Christ at the foundation of the world.

Colossians 1:16 NKJV “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”

Mark 9:23 NKJV “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 10:27 NKJV “But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

There is a tremendous power and authority available to us from the cross of Christ. If we will believe, obey and act in faith.

Jeremiah 32:17 NKJV “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.”

There is nothing too hard for our God. Jesus is the right hand of God, His outstretched arm.

Zechariah 4:6 NKJV “So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.”

1 Corinthians 4:20 NKJV “For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.”

The Word of God, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit are all one. When we exercise our authority by faith there is an unlimited power available to us.

Luke 24:49 NKJV “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

Acts 1:8 NKJV “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

1 Corinthians 2:5 NKJV “that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

Look at the following verses in Joshua Chapter 10. The Hebrews were fighting a battle. The Lord had killed many of the enemy will hail stones and now the rest of the enemy was getting away. Joshua, man, stopped the rotation of the earth around the sun and he stopped the moon’s rotation around the earth for a whole day with the words of his mouth!

Joshua 10:12 NKJV “Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel:
“Sun, stand still over Gibeon;
And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.”
13 So the sun stood still,
And the moon stopped,
Till the people had revenge
Upon their enemies.
Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.14 And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the LORD heeded the voice of a man; for the LORD fought for Israel.”

Whatever I need from God for the work that I am doing for God, I need to exercise my authority.

Let’s make up a hypothetical situation. I am a pastor. I have many needs for my church and the people in my church. I need food for the children, church needs repaired, and my family’s needs are not being met.

So you pray like this: “Lord you can see that I have many needs. The church needs repaired, my family needs food, and I need food for the people. Please Lord, meet my needs in Jesus name.”

Sound familiar. This is a prayer that has absolutely now power, it does not exercise any authority and demonstrates almost no faith. I does not pull on God to demonstrate His supernatural power.

Let’s look at another scenario: The pastor gets his church members together. He ministers’ communion, He has everyone, including he/she and family members repent of all there sin, ask the Lord to forgive them and have them forgive anyone who has ever hurt them or done them wrong. Next they pray in the Spirit for a time regarding their needs. Then the church members pray in agreement all together. While the pastor prays in his language the church members can pray in the Spirit in unity.

“We speak to finances in every form to come to us and this church now, in the Name of Jesus! We command you to come forth in Jesus Name! We command food and every need to come forth now in the Name of Jesus! I bind the devil over any interference in this prayer and it these things that we need in Jesus name! We command Satan to release these things into us in the name of Jesus. Father, you are the most High God, Your arm is not shortened. We ask you to perform your word and meet our needs in Jesus mighty Name!”

This is a prayer of faith, power and authority. It is not prayed softly. It is prayed loudly. Whatever your needs are, mention them specifically in the prayer. If you have a specific devil you need to bind, such as the devil of Islam, then bind it; command it to depart from you and command it to release the people and command that their eyes be opened to the Gospel of Christ.

You must believe that you receive when you pray (Mark 11:23-24). Then continuously thank the Lord that you have what you asked for.

It is time for the church, pastors, ministers and every believer to exercise their authority and power in Christ.

I hope this teaching helps you.

If YOU need to repent for any reason; (uproot the seeds of sin that you have sown) DO IT! YOU must turn from your sin, disobedience to the Word of God, and turn back to God, and make the choice to obey His Word; then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus! Forgive everyone who has ever harmed you; forgive yourself for the hurt that you have done to others and to the heart of God.

No. Because you have to show your children who’s the boss. God said to obey your parents until you’re an adult yourself. Kids anymore have no respect for authority, for their elders. It’s because there’s no discipline from the parents or who is raising them.
